RIOJA MONTH AT EL PIRATA
October is Rioja Month, and El Pirata is marking it properly.
Three ways to explore one of Spain’s great wine regions — a special tasting evening, a sharing menu built around the wines, and seven Riojas poured by the glass throughout the month.
Wine Tasting Evening — 14 October
On the evening of 14 October, we are hosting a standing reception and wine tasting with Morenos and C&D Wines. Seven Riojas, small bites, and the people behind the bottles — from 6pm to 8.30pm.
£57 per person. Includes all wines and food throughout the evening.
THE RIOJA ROUTE PAIRING MENU
Running throughout October, our sharing menu is built around four glasses of Rioja. Everything arrives for the whole table – jamón ibérico, fresh seafood, lamb chops and confit duck rice, finishing with crema catalana, coffee and a Pacharán. Each course paired with a wine from the list.
£77 per person. Minimum two guests. Available alongside the full à la carte.
SEVEN RIOJAS BY THE GLASS
In October, our wine list expands to include seven Riojas by the glass – whites, a rosé and reds from crianza through to Muga Reserva. A chance to explore the region one glass at a time, without committing to a bottle.
