Spanish Restaurant in London

Tucked away in the corner of Mayfair, El Pirata has become a firm favourite for those wanting an authentic Spanish experience.

A large part of the restaurant’s appeal is its affordable pricing, in spite of its exclusive Mayfair postcode. A set-lunch menu offering two tapas and a glass of wine, beer or a soft drink – all is reasonable price in the heart of London.

Consistently applauded for its food and outstanding service.

El Pirata has been described as ‘effortlessly authentic’, ‘welcoming’, and the ‘best tapas in London’. With such high praise, it’s no surprise that it is still going strong after two decades.

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, El Pirata throughout the month of September will be offering diners the very first menu from 1994 at the same prices. Diners can enjoy a selection of cold meats and seafood along with eight tapas including, Albóndigas (meatballs), Arroz con pollo (spanish rice with chicken), Gambas al Pil-Pil (prawns in olive oil, garlic & dried hot chilli peppers), and Lentejas (lentil stew, chorizo & panceta).

Fernando Grifo, the General Manager at El Pirata says, “I truly feel humbled that I’m a part of such a fantastic restaurant. I have an extremely hard working team who have all made it possible for us to reach a landmark year.”

Fernando added, “I first joined El Pirata in 1995, a year after it first opened. It’s a great feeling to know that after 20 years our customers still enjoy coming back to our restaurant. Of course, it goes without saying, if it was not for their loyalty we wouldn’t still be here. For that, I am grateful.”
